Attic Insulation is commonly used to protect a home and its hating/cooling equipment from extreme weather conditions. There are two main types of attic insulation:
1.Cellulite
2.Fiberglass
Both materials are valid options, however we do recommend our fiberglass option. Fiberglass insulation is not absorbent, not corrosive, 50% or more is made up of recycled material, and its R-Value lasts much longer.
R-Value describes the ability for insulation to resist heat traveling through it. We at Caymar Roofing strongly recommend insulation of R38. This is the R-Value in which cost of insulation and overall benefits you receive give you the most bang for your buck throughout Florida.
As gorgeous as the weather can be, Florida is very well known for its heat. Not only does investing in attic insulation protect your roofing, but your heating and cooling equipment as well. It is an investment that essentially pays for itself, and we at Caymar Roofing strongly recommend at least considering this option.
